The Video Game Industry: An $18 Billion Entertainment Juggernaut [view article]
Yes, and E for Everyone is a different rating than E10+ Everyone 10+. Another up and coming company in the video game arena. SDVI.PK owns Graffiti Entertainment ReplyThe Video Game Industry: An $18 Billion Entertainment Juggernaut [view article]
Missing Activision Blizzard is a double red flag in your video game industry research. And now even revenue line for Nintendo? Damn. ReplyThe Video Game Industry: An $18 Billion Entertainment Juggernaut [view article]
You know ATVID is missing from your list right? Might want to do a little more DD next time. ReplyWall Street Breakfast: Must-Know News [view article]
user155010.. and other folks who think Jim Rodgers is great? He has called for Frannie & Freddy to fail-uh should fail.., complaining that everyone has committed theft, fraud, etc. When ask by the interviewer if he was short these stocks he said of course. He stated yes he was making money being short but who cared if he was making money?? After all he said, "I have to pay taxes on it".. right!!
He spends his TV time bad mouthing the stocks so he can make his money short..a nice ethical guy.

Eli keeps getting better. Between the headline news, the overnight foreign markets, the earnings reports, and the day's economic calendar, what more material could a reader want? One hopes that Eli doesn't get dragged into the trap of doing a lot of analysis. ReplyWall Street Breakfast: Must-Know News [view article]

I fully agree with Bruce. I think this is beneficial for both TTWO and UBISoft, as well as the industry. And it would put pressure on both EA and ATVI, from a consumer standpoint, as suddenly the two ring circus has a third (not counting the omni-present Nintendo, of course)As a TTWO stockholder and a gamer, I hope these two can find a way merge. love the action on FTO, this stock is breaking out of a range bound base with a P&F double top breakout target $41. Adding on any weakness. ReplyEven Grand Theft Auto IV Couldn't Save April for Videogames [view article]
The article would have been a lot more complete, interesting and useful if it had included the fact that the dismal month was far from across the boards. In consoles, Nintendo sold almost twice as many as the PS3 and 360 combined while setting new all time records in sales. I realize the article was aimed at software, but in video games the two are tightly linked. In software, I think it should be pointed out that Grand Theft Auto 4 broke sales records by selling about 3.6 million units on its first day of release and grossing more than $500 million in its first week surprising everyone in the industry. If Mr. Wilson was really expecting more than that, I would seriously question his estimate, not the sales. The surprising thing is that these phenomenal sales did not translate into console sales for Microsoft and Sony and didn’t cause any slowdown of the Nintendo Wii juggernaut.

Hmmm.... it seems to me that this Mr.Wilson didn't get one right, maybe he doesn't know how to do estimates? ReplyWall Street Breakfast: Must-Know News [view article]
